Vice Chancellor Vosler is a high ranking Peacekeeper officer. During the Peacekeeper/Scarran War, Peacekeeper High Command sends Vosler to take over Grand Chancellor Maryk's battle group following Maryk's death. Before the vice chancellor's arrival, however, Commandant Grayza orders the battle group to assist Captain Braca's command carrier and to send a message to the vice chancellor, apologizing for the extra distance he will need to travel.
