Trigapod

Trigapods are a food source used by the Delvians of the New Moon of Delvia. They are kept in a pool in the center of the Delvian ship of Pa'u Tahleen, where they swim serenely about amidst bubbles and rose petals, eating (presumably, although we never see them do so) and breeding (or by some other means "renewing" themselves). As John Crichton says, they are "...untended, renewable, it's part plant, part animal. Total nutrition...It's a squid-calamari-cucumber, and it...is incredible." Rygel apparently finds them delectable.
