The Tarkans are a species known for their benevolence and positive influence on the galaxy around them. One group known as the Tarkan Freedom Fighters were mostly responsible for this reputation, having aided innocent sentients on planets such as Cavari when no one else would.[1]
In spite of this positive reputation, not every Tarkan was a shining beacon of goodness. Raa'Keel, once a member of the Freedom Fighters, left the organization and became regarded as nothing more than a traitor and a thief.[1] After his encounter with members of Moya's crew, his operation came to an end and his amber-encased body was delivered to his former brethren.[1]
