A ractor was a combat knife of Charrid design. It was made with neural circuitry within the blade which allowed it to inflict ten times the amount of pain a normal knife would. This allowed it to be an effective weapon even against their own race which had an extremely high level of pain tolerance.
Rygel XVI used one to torture a Charrid. The knife he used was silver with a softly glowing red handle. The blade was split into two tines, one half as long that curled back in toward the handle with a sharp hook and longer tine with large serrations on the inside.
