Pulse Pistol

A Pulse Pistol is the standard issue Peacekeeper sidearm, seven inches in length, six inches in height. It fires small bolts of yellow energy able to kill most species, but will not penetrate Scarran hide. The Pulse Pistol uses Chakkan oil cartridges for ammunition which are loaded into the grip; there are no shells. The pistol can be set to overload, causing a large explosion relative to the amount of ammunition remaining. There is a mount on the left side, where a laser sight can be attached.

John Crichton eventually adopts one particular pulse pistol as his own which he christens "Winona", which he considers to be more dependable than other pistols.

Scorpius carries a specially modified pulse pistol of his own, significantly bigger, more charged, and overall more powerful than standard ones. Comparatively, standard pulse pistols are only about 2/3 in terms of quality and size. Scorpius can be seen using this gun in "The Hidden Memory", The Peacekeeper Wars, and "Liars, Guns and Money - Plan B". He used this gun to kill Gilina.
