Hetch

A measurement of speed in relation to starship movement. Whilst no exact definition of how fast any of the hetch factors are has been provided on screen, the interstellar travel abilities of starships featured would imply faster than light travel. Also in the episode "Jeremiah Crichton" Moya was able to search several star systems within a quarter of a cycle, presumably due to the predictability required for the search Starburst could not have been used, suggesting they were travelling at hetch velocity. Assuming the relative distance between these systems was similar to that encountered in our part of the galaxy they would have had to travel many lightcycles in less than one cycle which means they must have been travelling at several times the speed of light.
