Heppel oil

An extremely powerful aphrodisiac. It is secreted from the Heppel gland, a special (perhaps biomechanically engineered) gland that is usually implanted in Dellos concubines for fairly obvious reasons. According to Sikozu Shanu, this substance is only produced by such a gland, implying that Heppel oil does not occur naturally on any known planet. The oil is produced by the gland seemingly at will and exits the body through skin pores like sweat. (Its color and viscosity are also highly reminiscent of sweat.) It induces overwhelming lust when inhaled, rendering even the most determined member of the opposite sex powerless to resist any command given by the producer of the oil.

The means of producing and implanting the Heppel gland are unknown, although it is known to shorten the life of the person it is implanted within, a side effect which has made it illegal. It appears to be a Sebacean invention, although other humanoid races might also have utilized it for themselves while it was still legal (unlikely, as few even know it exists, but possible). Its mechanics are also unknown: for example, whether or not it can be produced by one person but used by another, whether it works on members of the same sex, or whether it would still work on a person who was not attracted to the sex of the user. It can only be defeated by the previous inhalation of something which affects the brain and prevents sexual stimulation, such as laka guts.

Commandant Mele-On Grayza secreted Heppel oil, which became very useful to her in her ambitious climb up through the Peacekeeper ranks.
