R. Wilson Monroe was an American television host, who presided over a series entitled Alien Visitation. During the 2003 visit to Earth by the crew of Moya, Monroe interviewed Aeryn Sun for the program. The American government ultimately ordered the footage suppressed. Some months later, the government allowed Monroe's program to air the interview as well as other footage shot during the visit. His tone varied in the broadcast, from alarmist to conciliatory, regarding the aliens. ("A Constellation of Doubt")

Monroe was played by Australian actor Nick Tate, who is best remembered for his role as Alan Carter on Space: 1999. Along with Mary Mara, he is one of the only two Farscape actors to have appeared in the Star Trek franchise.
